Journal: 10/20/10

October 20, 2010. 6:00AM. I personally had hard time coming to God this morning. I usually feel excited to read God's word, but this morning, I had to "force" myself in coming to God's feet.
I started with the usual, thanking God with the gift of life that He had provided for me, and that He may forgive me from the sins that I have done, especially the one favorite sin that I cannot seem to stop.
I sang a couple of songs from the SDA hymnal and then I prayed for the blessings and the guidance of Holy Spirit. I started my morning devotional reading from the book titled, “Reflecting Christ.” You can read it here, "Transformation of Character Takes Place Here." Then, I continued reading my daily Bible reading from John 5:31-47.
The Holy Spirit then lead me in understanding that, we may read or know the Bible daily, but do we live the life that are portrayed in the Bible? Transformation of Character takes place here and now. We need to not just read the Bible and not do anything about it. But we are encouraged to read the Word of God and believe in it. For when we are believers, we become doers of the Word.
I personally need to be transformed. I have read the Bible here and there, but still have doubts in the Word of God. I need that transformation of character. I hope you do too.

Prayer: Dear Father, please forgive me of my many sins. May You give me that desire to be transformed in my daily life to serve You with all of my heart. Forgive me. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

Journal: "Never Stop Digging" - 11/3/2012

           It’s amazing at what God have done through my life. I have asked to make my life busy, and that is just what God have been doing. As I sit here on my futon with blanket over my shoulder, listening to beautiful praises of wonderful musicians and singers through the speaker of my laptop, I am convicted in writing a Journal of how God have led me throughout this week.            Friday night of November 2, a story of a gold miner was brought to my attention by Pr. Journal: Will You Go? - 10/15/2010

October 14, 2010. It started out like any other Thursday at Emmanuel Institute. I was awakened by God at around 6:00AM. Right away I dove to the Word of God longing to see what God wanted to speak to me. I studied the story of the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well (John 4). I dug the background of the people of Samaritan from the time of Abraham, to Jacob, to Joshua, to Jeroboam and to Jesus’ time. I discovered the reason why the Jews disliked the Samaritans. It was there, at the mountains, where an altar was built. In that same city was where God rebuked them to worship God with all their heart. Yet, they chose to fear God but serve other gods. I love the word of God, I just wish I could have stayed in my room and read more of the wonderful stories of the Bible. But I concluded that I need to worship God with all my heart and not half-heartedly. Therefore, I need to seek those that are far from God, and that are longing for truth.
